Bravo to the dessert makers of TWiSK
Bravo! Your baking & making raised a $100 for the Port Phillip Community Group.
TWiSK was thrilled with the creative efforts in the kitchen and also with the editorial flourishes.
Applause to Phoebie for the “I Scream Cake” with layers of vanilla ice cream, strawberry coulis and yummy chocolate biscuits. Also to Janita for the “Homage to Gabriel” inspired by the spray can cream guzzling character from Netflix’s Call My Agent. Also to Gina whose Blueberry Almond and Lemon Cake looked better than the cook book pic!
And here is a shocking confession.
The author enjoyed a warm chocolate brownie smothered with stewed rhubarb and lashings of Greek yoghurt – it was so yummy that it was gone before the photograph was taken!
Whoops.
No special access for Live Nation says Mayor
Last week we put questions to Council about the lease arrangements with Live Nation, the managers of The Palais.
We received this pleasingly direct reply from Mayor Cr Louise Crawford:
“The Palais lease does not include access to the carpark and management of the Palais does not give Live Nation ‘special’ access to the carpark.
“Any event permit application involving the Triangle Carpark is considered on its merits. Other activations have been approved in this space including Jurassic Creatures and the Pixar Putt mini golf.”
That tallies with news from other sources that a Sesame Street show is being planned for the Triangle across the summer.
Accessibility Action Plan
Please help Council create a more accessible and inclusive Port Phillip.
If you’re a person with disability, including a mental illness, or care for someone with disability, they want to hear your suggestions.
Share your feedback by 29 August.
