Albert Park

With Martin Foley stepping down, Albert Park is being targeted by Greens. MLC Nina Taylor is making a bid for this seat for Labor. The Greens are listing the seat as a possible gain and the Liberals have a dynamic local candidate.
There’s also an independent Georgie Dragwidge, a stall holder at the South Melbourne Market.

Brighton

Liberal James Newbury defied the 2018 Danslide swing by just under 900 votes. Port Phillip Cr Louise Crawford is the ALP candidate. Felicity Frederico, former Bayside mayor and OAM recipient is a ‘teal’ independent. Local activist Sally Gibson is also in the running.
If you live in Elwood, East of Dickens Street, you are probably in Brighton.

Caulfield

Liberal MLA David Southwick won by just 204 votes in 2018. His is the most marginal Liberal seat.
The candidates for ALP (Lior Harel) , Liberal ((David Southwick MLA), Greens (Rachel Iampolski) and Teal independent (Nomi Kaltmann) are active in the Jewish community. (Text corrected 17 Oct)
The Jewish News will hold a candidate debate on 14 November.
If you live East of Brighton Road or Chapel Street, South of Carlisle Street, you are probably in Caulfield. FYI St Kilda Town Hall is in Caulfield.

Prahran

Greens MLA Sam Hibbins will be going all out for a third term up against the ALP’s Wesa Chau, a self described D & I Expert, Entrepreneur and Social Innovator. This seat will be very close, the margin in 2018 was less than 300 votes.
If you live in St Kilda North of the St Kilda Town Hall, you are probably in Prahran.

Is your enrolment up to date? 8 November deadline

To vote in November’s State election, you’ll need to be correctly enrolled by 8 pm on Tuesday 8 November.
Checking or update is easiest on line at the VEC Victorian Electoral Commission
Voters are registered by their home address, this determines which district (seat) or region you can vote in.

Early voting centres open Monday 14 November

While state elections are held every four years on the last Saturday of November (Saturday 26 November 2022), You can vote earlier at pre-poll voting centres in each District.
