Sally Hepworth’s third novel, The Mother’s Promise, explores questions of how to let people in when you need support, even if you’ve been fiercely independent, and how far a mother will push herself to look after her daughter. Hepworth combines heart and humour, even in her darkest moments.
Hepworth will be joined in conversation by author and Readings bookseller Gabrielle Williams.
