It shows just how dishonest characterisations of the old Triangle proposal were. Whilst 2008 Proposal has a bad name, I challenge anyone to come up with a decent objection to the scale and design response.
Importantly the 2008 Proposal shows that a commercially viable and acceptable plan is possible. At the time, economic forecasters predicted that without redevelopment of the Triangle, economic atrophy and decline would beset St Kilda. The forecast was horribly correct. The current commercial atrophy is damaging the place. We need a new, reinvented Triangle similar in scale to 2008 to anchor visitation to the precinct.
